Re: Pictures

Yup. Go to Non-boating Tech, then search for picture posting.

Re: Pictures

You probably need to be in non boating tech questions - but here goes anyway.

Your pics need to be uploaded to a hosting service such as photobucket or tinypic.

Once uploaded, they are assigned a URL (the internet address where the pic is held).

2 ways to enter a pic into a post -

1) At the bottom of this screen is the 'Full Reply Form', click on it > 'IMAGE'. Enter the URL of the pic - your done.

2) 'Full Reply Form' > 'URL', enter the address > name the pic - your done.

A simple way to enter the URL is to highlight the address by right mouse click, then 'copy'. When you are entering the URL in 'IMAGE' or 'URL' simply right mouse click and 'paste'.

Re: Pictures

First off, the picture has to be on the internet somewhere, not just in your computer.

You can put your pictures up on a free internet picture hosting server. Here is one that is run by SONY
http://www.imagestation.com/

Note, signing up with this site will put you on their mailing list, but what do you expect for nothing?

Sign up, upload your image.

To post a picture on iboats:

Go to the full sized picture on the internet or hosting site, not a thumbnail.
Right click, then click "properties".
Highlight the URL address,
then right click on it and click "copy".
THe URL must end with "jpg"

Now come back to you post here on iboats.
Click the "FULL REPLY FORM" button below the reply dialogue box.
Click the "image" button that appears below the dialog box.
Paste the URL into the text box.
Click ok.
