pine or cedar

I’m rebuilding seat bench’s that go along the sides of my center console deck boat.<br />They originally were made of ½ ply covered with fiberglass.<br /><br />I was thinking of replacing them with treated deck wood but im concerned about shrinkage.<br />Dose any one know if cedar would be a better choice?

Do a search for "cedar" in this forum. I saw a post awhile back about the subject of using cedar in the construction of seat frames.

i'd use ply again.. how can ya beat it..!!<br /><br />couple coats of epoxy,,, heirloom..
