hello<br /> ok check the timing. what is the rpm at WOT? are you over propped? is the tell tale good and solid or limp? is the head getting hot?<br /> are you sure its pinging? In all my years servicing outboards I have never run a motor at WOT that I could hear spark knock over exhaust noise.reveiw the causes of detonation and preignition and I bet you can find the cause.<br /> good luck and keep posting
