I have a 1989 force 35 on a 16 spectrum aluminum bass boat, with a 10 3/8 x 13 1/2" michigan match aluminum prop. w/ a cone nut and cotter pin attachment.
I'm revving to high at WOT.

Problem is I can not find a manufacturer that makes a prop. (that is listed for that motor,) with more pitch. It seems like i could at least go to a 15 or 16 pitch based on my RPMs at WOT.

I saw that Pirannah (composite construction) does have options....are these props any good for a 35hp?

Do you know of a manufacturer/reseller that might supply another option in aluminum or SS.

thanks

I believe the 50 hp non thru hub prop is the same as the 35.Perhaps you can find a 50 listing somewhere.
What is your present rpm.Can you get a speed by gps?Is the boat a bare bones tiller steer or pretty much loaded?Do you feel your tach is accurate?
You may want to verify the tach.
In desperation you may be able to get the prop repitched.

The boat is pretty much loaded-
1 console - 2 seats
2 batteries
trolling motor
2 fishing seats
usually 400lbs of people/gear

GPS best speed is 24.5 mph,WOT, w/ a hydrofoil w/ the motor trimmed when the lake is glass
I currently have no tach - just my ears (i have a tiny tach coming in a few days) the motor sounds like its running too fast at WOT with the 10 3/8 by 13 1/2, but sounds perfect at 3/4 throttle - moving at around 22.5mph

do you have an opinion on the Pirannah Prop?

Thanks for the help!

I picked up a 17" pitch Pirannah 4blade prop for my boat, to replace my stock 19" aluminum and think it's great, it worked out to be just fine on my boat. I think there is less flex with the composite prop then aluminum, but don't hit anything because it's not as durable.

A typical 35 hp is good for about 30mph in ideal conditions. The Force hp is rated at 5,000 rpm and most will prop a motor at about 500 above that I don't know what they do with the small Forces.
Your boat is a prettty good load without 400 lbs of people I would say that
24.5 is respectable.I'd hold off on a prop till you see the rpm.
As far as composite props I have no expierence with them but I've read that
they do flex and it can aid hole shot.Of course if you hit something it will probably be time to replace it.If your thinking composite give the propulse a look a 4 blade adjustable prop with 2 settings and replaceable blades.
From the little I've read it performs very favorably. And gives you 2 props in one.
