Good stuff! make a little checklist in your phone and check it right before you leave your house. I remeber last year one of us forgot to get gas lol. I don't even use the bench I tend to sit on the tube. I am still either going to hook up a seat to the bench or go RonoldJ's cooler design. I like the cooler idea because it gives lots of storage for water/food or can even create a livewell out of it. Only issue i have is i cannot fit that cooler into my small suv with everything else. I still plan to have a 5 gallon bucket of water to wash my boat at days end.(Sinister gave me a small electric bilge pump which i will use to wash down my boat before storage) I gotta figure something out my @$$ hurts after a day of sitting on rock hard tubes

congrats on your maiden voyage!!!! It is fun and the work that it takes to get set up and packed up at days end has become a labor of love for me. I love being a captain and being on the water. That I can fish and even more occasionally (at least these days) catch fish... is a bonus! lol. Can't wait to meet up friday or see you on the water with us when we all go out. This is turning into a regular club... after a few true meet ups we may need to get an official name and some t-shirts! lol

Friday weather update: high 60-62 with passing rain. Keeping fingers crossed that the rain is for the evening time

Awesome!!!
Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn ny Exit 11s on the belt parkway. If you want a great overview you can google map it. We will meet at the boat ramp between 6:30a and 7am if weather permits. If at 6am it is not raining you can bet your house I will be there :). If it is raining the minute it stops i will be there as long as it is not past 3pm. I will pm you my # and will send out a report thursday evening and friday 6am to everyone that is coming. So far we have sinister, Fedor, PGnyc aka pascel and myself.

I sure do hope the weather gets itself together.
I tried to go out yesterday and it rained.
It's overcast now and who only knows what will happen tomorrow.
My worse case is I get to go out Saturday.

I can't wait for the weather to do right so I can go out with the crew.
I have never been out with 4 other boats
That will be an amazing site.

Wrote a longer response.. it disappeared. At work so... the short of my response is it is my hope that at some point we will have as many as 7-8 boats out. Like a bikers club... without the negative image, lol. I can see the caravan in my mind's eye. Maybe even get t-shirts or a flag to fly from the boats!!! A logo or mascot... very cool indeed.

So.. West marine is a rip off lol. I purchased a seat cushion that works as a certified pfd for the wife. Did not get my poncho (forgot). Called them specifically for stabond and they claimed they had it. Lies! Had to order from them and make an unnecessary trip back there on tuesday. Also purchased the emergency cut off landyard for outboard. 70 bucks later i am back at work and no poncho!

Rise and shine boys! lol. Van is packed and I am heading out the door!!! As for West Marine they have had an inflatables section for MANY years as a matter of fact I thought they were downsizing it due to lack of popularity. It may be a regional thing where they are less competitive in some markets... anyways..... out the door!

I woke up to rain and fog.
It's supposed to be gone by 11 am.
I'm hoping to get out by noon

We made it out. We definitely had fog. Not so much with rain. Once and sparingly... so much so in fact, you had to slow down to tell the difference between wind forces and sea spray vs rain! :) Did you get out?? Post quick vid in Calling All New Yorkers thread

I made it out and tried out all my mods.
Look at the I think I went overboard thread.

I learned a little from the Kayakers.

I am now thinking about three more mods.
Adding a trolling motor for low spreads tearing and shallow water
Adding a bow compass
Adding as tearing console
I met a guy who did that to his Jon boat.
It worked really cool.
His boat was a whole 12 feet
