It'll get munched and spit out if it doesn't burn up. Worse case scenario, you foul the plug.

why not just take this ^^ advice???:eek::facepalm:

Plumb up / Hook a shop vac to the open spark plug hole. It might suck it right out the way it went in.

Just remove the piston inspection port cover, it's sitting right there and that gasket is quite a bit cheaper than a head gasket.

Finally the voice of reason and common sense. Joe nails the best way to get it out. AND, as he posted above, you can still use the straw!!!

I would just run it :). When reeds break off, as they can do from time to time, they go right through the motor, no problem.

But if you're dead set on extracting it, and can see it with a borescope, if it's a borescope made for mechanics, it may have a non-magnetic extractor with the set?? Many mechanics have them. I have seen more than one of these tools in a borescope kit or in the same drawer with borescope that is a flexible metal tube with a plunger on the back side. You guide it down to where the borescope is, push on the plunger and three claws come out and open up. Pull the plunger back and the claws clamp onto whatever is in it's grasp. I have no idea what this type of tool is called, but if you know a mechanic this might be the quickest and easiest way to do it without risking breaking any bolts!

Thanks Joe. This will be my course of action.
