I was wondering if anyone would know were to purchase a plastic windshield for my console.
I have a 1990 Spectrum Alumaweld 15.9 ft, with a console on the side. It has a plastic console, that had a small plastic windshield on top of it, that cracked off. The console has screw holes in it, and the old windsheild is beviled on the top and tapers off to the screw holes to apply.
Any Help would be great
Thanks
jas....

Check out Overtons. I just found what I think will work on the boat I'm getting.
Put "replacement windshield" in their search filter.
Hope this helps.

Cabelas also has some replacement plexi windshields. Or, you could take your old broken one to a glass shop that works with plexi and they should be able to help you out. (Probably cheeper)

Find a plastics fab shop & have one custom made. It is just a single piece of plastic with two bends and a few holes for the screws so it should not cost much.

Or for the heck of it do some research on the web and make your own.

Re: Plastic Windshield for Console?

I made my own replacement for my '91 Alumacraft 185CS side-console walleye boat last year. They wanted over $200 I think for one through Alumacraft, and like SoLittle said, it was just a single piece of plastic with two bends and a few holes drilled. I ordered a piece of smoke gray acrylic from a plastics supplier on the internet, and used the old windshield as a template. Cut it out with a jigsaw and then sanded the edges to get them smooth. Used a heat gun to make the bends, and it turned out great - looks just like the original! Just be careful not to get it too hot or it will bubble the acrylic. Could have "flame polished" the sanded, cut edges using a torch, but didn't (it looks fine the way it is, in my opinion).
