I just purchased this used unit to install on my 24’ Bayliner Sunbridge. I know nothing about it and need help with information. Came with the control unit and two motors and a antenna that has no place to connect on the control unit itself. Upon inspection I opened the control box to trace what wire went where
The flat ribbon connecting the gyro was severed. I repaired it by separate jumper wires. Have not powered it up yet. Hopefully someone knows more about this than I do.

Hi Scott
I have reached out and sent them an email two weeks ago. They are located in France
Not gotten any response. Also sent messages to person that I purchased from on eBay. Nothing there either. Thinking it was from a pawn shop. Have not applied power to this or attempted to install yet. I still need to get a cog belt and modify the drive pulley for the steering wheel. Want to make sure it works first. The power cord has four wires red black smaller white and smaller green. Green isn’t connected at either end not used. As I said I repaired the leads to the gyro with light jumper wires.

most likely if it was a pawn shop, the parts may have been stolen.

It also came with a northstar beacon antenna that is a mystery to me as well. Antenna has a small black ground wire and a coaxial cable. I don’t see any place this connects to the control unit. This unit looks like it has three modes. Gyro. GPS. And a weather vain symbol ? I watched a YouTube video last night of a different style gyro unit that showed how moving the gyro controls the motor. Confused why this has two motors. Maybe just a spare. Unit has two plugs. One motor came plugged in and other was just in the box. I tried plugging in the second one but wouldn’t plug in. Thought the plug just needed cleaning but now thinking second plug is for maybe the antenna and other mode feature. Will do more investigations.
I do a lot of fishing by myself and spend a fair amount of time setting gear and was constantly correcting corse or spinning circles not intended.

Do you have a history of this model?

The first picture shows a chip with a 1980 mfg. date. A lot has changed in the last 40+ years.

What guidance input does it take?

Upon further review I see the second plug port is a 7 pin as well as the motor except the pin on the motor is inline with the tab and the pins on the unit are between the pins so definitely a connection for the other two forms of guidance like the DGPS antenna that was in the box. Antenna has a coaxial cable with no end on it. It does have the end that connects to the antenna.

There have been two major, system level software upgrades required since 2000.

The first was related to Y2K (WN) roller. The other was to implement 13 bit communications to address the 2019 WN problem.

If your system has not been updated, your probably dead in the water until updated

Are you referring to my AS 100 auto pilot ?
I am new to this forum. I have just now applied temporary power to this unit. The upper symbol has lit up and the number two is in the display. The light was blinking and beeping. Nothing happening with the motor.
I wiggled the motor plug and beeping and blinking stopped and motor reacts to control movements. Gyro mode is working. Need to check plug issue. I am excited for what I have seen so far. The + and ~ 1 and 10 works as well.
