Please help! First time poster and beginner

My engine is a 2003 yamaha 130. I have took my boat out 3 times so far and the first two times i had no problems. Today I went out and pulled out of the dock and when I started to accelerate and go faster the boat felt like it didnt have much power and stalled out . I then went to start it back up and and would start and stall out right away. It started back up and the same thing happened i started going for 20 secs and stalled. I got it running and everything was fine. I know there can prob be 100s of things but what could be the prob or the first thing you guys would check?

As you are approaching 100 posts, you are loosing your 'first time poster and beginner' status . . .

Anyway, it sounds like this boat is giving you a real work-over in terms of learning. The first thing that I would check/verify with the engine is that the supply of fuel is adequate. Fuel filters, fuel line, carburetor, etc. It 'sounds' like it is running out of fuel as you advance the throttle. . .

Can you remind us of the work you have done on the engine so far.?

I meant by first time poster in the engine forum. I haven't done any engine work. I will check all the lines later today.thanks
