Hello to everyone! I'm new to this site and I'm really hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I just got back from Iraq and my boat hadn't been taken out in about a year its a 98 McKeecraft with a 98 Suzuki DF70. I took it out and it started and ran fine. After a few hours of fishing when I would throttle down it would shut off, but then would start right back up with no problems at all. I tried to take it out again and got a check engine light. It blinks once and then a pause and four times in a row and the limit light is on. There really isn't anywhere close to me to take it into. If anyone could help this Marine who really wants to go fishing out please do so. Hopefully it's nothing big.<br /><br />Thank You,<br />Chris
<br /><br />You need a Service Manual, Gunny. Call any Suzi dealer and tell him the error code. He will be able to suggest a cause. . .probably associated with the lay-up.<br /><br />Since that same engine was also marketed as an Evinrude, then a Johnson, a JohnnyRude dealer might be able to help you as well.<br /><br />Google can find you a nearby dealer.<br /><br />Good luck, and sincerest thanks for your service.
