I am having problems with fouling plugs while idling with my motor. My grandfather had this issue with his old Evinrude and he kept coffee cans of plugs in the boat and swapped them out all the time. I figured since my motor is 15 years newer it wouldn't be as bad. Last year I put new plugs and wires on and I fouled a the new plugs already. Is there anything I can do to prevent the fouling? Is there a better plug that I can use like the Platinum or Iridium plugs? Will it make a difference? Plugs in a car will last 100kmi and even then its usually the wires that go bad so why do these outboards eat up the plugs? Thanks for your help!
