Plumbing fuel for a kicker from the main line??

Pls pardon my user name- the system wouldn?t recognize anything normal and kept kicking it back as a company name.

Here?s my question- I have a 2001 Yamaha 150 HPDI and would like to tap into the fuel line to run my 2005 Honda 5 hp kicker. I have heard horror stories about people burning up power heads and such and want to be sure I don?t blunder like that. Any help from someone in the know is greatly appreciated.

I did it by installing a valve to control the fuel direction. pretty simple. just don't forget to switch the valve after fishing...btdt...

Can't you just add a nipple to your fuel water sep. and plumb it off that?
