But will put maybe 50 more Pounds on Boat.

When crossing Channel I place Life Jacket on and hold on... gets calmer 1/4 out.

Sometimes I let a big boat go threw and he brakes the waves for me.

My last boat was 12f by 4 18inchs high and was kinda scary going threw... Almost flipped coming down 6feet waves.

If the winds pickup get back to dock fast.

I want to make this one 15feet to help me out, found some 16feet 4x2's and got them cut in half last night.

lmao...a thousand deck screws for a boat thats 15' long and 4' wide? The screws'll almost weigh as much as the wood....talk about overkill....you'd be surprised how much lateral holding force there is with 1 screw...almost a square foot

A question maybe someone can help with.

I made frame 44 inches wide.

Bracing floor, What distance do I place between braces?

1/2 plywood will be used.

My Camera batteries let go there 1.2volts as normal batts are 1.3volts. tryed 1.3 and even cheap ones and no go

Case450 I was just guessing... I'm going to place them about 1 1/2" apart. adds up fast.

Are you making a mold/plug ? or are you just fastening..

1 1/2" apart is making swiss cheese out of your bonds..

I was wondering if I could vanish my boat instead of painting?

Will it hold up well in salt water?

Started bending the front 2x2 lips. Placed a wet towel around them with weight.

Check out this place for SS or bronze screws, they were the cheapest place I found online when I was doing my project.

Shipping would kill me aswell... id need close to 20pounds plus I already started framing with deck screws.

I don't want to invest 200$ in screws.

Boat might cost me 300... I would of bought one for about 600 but 20inch transoms are hard to find here.

Almost got all the framing done.

Spruce wood is hard to bend , got them to bend about 9 inches.

I decided to buy a 10x2 board and bend the top lip to meet the bottom lip and place 10x2 on 45degree angle.

I bought 1.2volt batteries for Camera but forgot them at GF place, Il try and get pictures in a day or two.


Front will look something like this.

I didn't realize you were building from scratch. What will you use to skin it? Will it be flat bottomed?

Thinking of going with 1/2 plywood because waters alittle rough here.

I'm going to plywood the sides first so it holds angle.
