what is that ring that makes the points move?<br />on a 1960 RDS22 40hp where can I buy one? mine is broken. I have a Clymer no help.

Welcome to Iboats!<br />"Points cam" sounds right to me. I don't think it's available any longer from the dealer. Try googling Twin City outboards, Laing's outboards, marinepartsoutlet, or vintageoutboards for a used replacement. Or try your local outboard graveyard if you can find it.<br /><br />Good luck!
