Polish question

I bought some "ICE" polish by Turtle Wax for my truck the other day. It says that it is also o.k. to use on a plastic dash. (I haven't tried that yet). But it goes on easy, and wondered if it would hurt a fiberglas boat ??

Thoughts, input ??

Re: Polish question

Looked at this thread trying to figure out what a question about Poland had to do with boats :)

Anyhow, I don't know about that specific brand, but I've used car wax on my hull several times since I got my boat without any problems. Just makes it shiny like it's supposed to. Shines up polished stainless nicely too.

Re: Polish question

I have tried it and I did not like it.
I have used it on my vehicles with mixed results.
On the vehicle is does not remove water spots.
But the nice thing about it is you can get it on the plastic and it wont
leave white residue.
On the boat it also does not remove any water spots at all.
The product I use is Fast WAX. Go to rjbrownracing.com and read about it.
It is one of those wash and wax at the same time. Very similar to Fukken wax
products.

Re: Polish question

I tried Ice also and hated it. Use something else on your boat.

Re: Polish question

interesting, I use the (ice) spray on version on my corvette and like it... I like meguires newest wax the best of late and their spray on better. I don't use them on the boat yet because I just painted it with ppg concept. and 3m's marine wax always works well for me... especially after good polish.

Re: Polish question

O.K., thanx for the replies. I just thought that it went on easy on the truck, it'd go quick on the boat.

I'll just stick with the Meguiars Gold in the black bottle, boat polish.
