Porposing

If my motor cavitation plate is 2" below the transom will it increse the porposing effect? If I raise it will it help?

Stickflipper,<br /><br />I'm sure the guys here will need more info on your set up. Boat size, motor size, prop size, etc. to be able to give you more accurate advice. Or maybe not, just my 2 cents :p

I have an 03 Crestliner SuperHawk with a Merc 115 2 stroke. I think the prop is a 19 pitch.

It will surely help your speed to have the AV plate at the correct height, flipper.<br /><br />Are you experiencing porpoising? Do you have power T&T? How are you using it? When does the boat porpoise?<br /><br />This is not an engine trouble, so I am moving it to General Outboard.
