What a blessing. Maybe that's why so many are climbing our fences?<br /><br />Once the US population (citizens) wake up to this gift, we will get a truly "representative" government.<br /><br />For now, we deal with apathy on the uncaring side and fighting on the caring side.

The UN is nailing Shrub, giving him 12 months to shut down the Cuban prison and close the other ‘secret prisons’ around Europe. The report sites several instances of Geneva Convention breaches, calls the breaches torture as defined in the Convention. Maybe it’s just talk but the UN is saying if Shrub doesn’t comply there is a “logical next step”. Not sure but I think that is a veiled threat to drag Shrub before the World Court.

Let's see, the UN which is the most corrupt organazation around, comprised of many nations which have no business being there, member nations which are eye-ball deep in the oil for food scandal with Saddam, telling the US what we should or shouldn't do and threating to rat us out to the World court, a court which in reality has no credibility or authority? I presumed we still played in the UN because it allowed us to keep an eye on everyone else. I’d think it kind of stupid to take on the leader of the nation that hosts your existence and funds a vast majority of your annual budget. Biting the hand that feeds you somehow just doesn’t seen adequate.<br /><br />Fwiw, the World Court is a much needed body of justice. They are currently neck deep in trying to figure out if France received unfair/indirect support from FIFA (the world soccer organization) to the disadvantage of other Euro countries. Hey, we’re coming up on the World Cup, this crap is important…not!
