I have a 1999 evinrude 5hp 4 stroke and I noticed that the 2 parts of the power head do not line up with each other. During the summer I was running the boat at WOT and all of a sudden it lost power, started to smoke and oil was dripping out where the upper exhaust port is (underneath the lower cowling pieces). I was wondering if this is where the oil can be leaking from. Although the motor does run great, pumps water super strong and I have had not problems since unless I run WOT for a long time.
