I have a 2000 Volvo Penta 5.7L GL engine (with power steering) and I cannot find a power steering cooler, is it possible I do not have one?

Follow the power steering hoses fom the pump to the rear of the engine...you will come across it...connected to the intake raw water hoses coming from the transom assembly.

If you have one, it should look like this:

And it will be in the return line-the one that attaches to pump with a hose clamp

It should be there.....if you bought it new and didn't remove it.

If you bought it used and it leaked before you bought it, the previous owner might have "fixed" it by removing it!!

Found it! It was behind the engine buried. They installed it so that it drains on its own (vertical incline) so that explains why it has never frozen solid........

I am not sure I could remove the hoses from it anyway.
