I have a completly different question I have a 1989 evinrude 110 hp and the power tilt works but the gauge is not I disconnected the limit switch to see if I had a broken wire and I do not how can I trouble shoot the gauge to see if it is the limit switch or the gauge.

what is a trim box these wires run from a little motor theres two metalic hydralic lines running from the bottom of the motor but theres no trim box
