The black plastic on my power trim hoses is peeling off leaving only the white hoses. Is there anything I should or can do to it?

dstuard-- really need more info type of motor size.
also are these the plastic coated stainless hoses or are they the rubber/nylon hoses. If it is just the outer plastic on most hoses and there is no wear into the hose it self I have wrapped them with plastic spiral wire wrap (sold at most auot parts stores)which prevents further chaffing of the hose itself. If worn or chaffed into the hose they probably need to be replaced. Where are you located in texas? If near Ft Worth e-mail me and I will get the address of a place here in town that makes hoses to fit.

E-mail RBARROW@dfwairport.com or crbarrow1@juno.com.

I am not really close to Fort Worth. The white (nylon) part of the hoses look like new. It is just the outer black shell that is peeling off.

If there is not any damage to the part that is showing I think I would leave it alone or get some of the plastic spiral wrap and wrap it. If it when you actuate you power trim the hose diameter changes (bulge) then I would change the hoses.
