Power trim issue

I have a 2000 Ebbtide Chapione 188 with a 4.3 liter Mercruiser and an Alpha I outdrive. The power trim is acting up. I can lower the drive with the switch on the throttle, but I can only raise the drive with the "trailer" switch located toward the middle of the throttle. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think it could be the case of bad trim limit switches on the outdrive. I have the same dilemma in mine since the switches are bad and previous owner had already disconnected the wires.

Do a search in this forum and you will have lots of info about the problem.

Thanks for the advice. I took the boat out this weekend and the trim worked fine. I'm used to outboards which you can trim as high as you want.
