Power trim/tilt unit for 1983 merc 70

Hello,

I just purchased a 1983 Glastron boat with a 70HP Mercury motor. The motor serial # is 6323294, which I believe makes it an "83 as well. It does not have a trim/tilt unit on it, and I'm wondering if one can be put on, how difficult and/or expensive it might be, and where I might find one.

I may also need some help finding the exact model of the boat so I can can find seats and other parts for it. The ID plate reads GLACO86 9M83D.

Yes, you can add a PT&T system to that engine...if you are "mechanically inclined" the install is not difficult at all...you can look on ebay, there is a system on there right now that looks pretty good....cost-wise, expect to pay about $400 on average,...I specialize in repairing/rebuilding these Mercury trim systems and components...you can PM me if you'd like to talk about it...i can educate you on the basics of the system and give you some general insight...it would be good if you had a little "working knowledge" of things before you go spending your money...you can also email me at challectric@gmail.com...more than happy to assist you..
