Power/trim

I am looking for the best option to fix my power tilt. On my 1974 85hp johnson. I've looked and haven't found enough information. It's an older style tilt system. (I'm assuming) it goes up just fine but looses pressure and slowly drops. Any pointer are appreciated! Thanks.

I assumed to replaced the seals on the tube. Got it ordered!

No clue where the manual release is. Still trying to learn it all. New to boats.

I read on here about a similar issues to what you suggest when I was trying to rebuild my 1977 85hp Evinrude T&T, looks similar to yours but mine has the different "prestolite" pump.
