Figured I'd give back for the help I've received. Here are some pics of what you need to disconnect before removing the powerhead on a 1976 Evinrude 25602 manual start 25HP outboard. The manual suggests you remove a lot more. If you just want to remove the powerhead to get to the shift linkage for example, all you need to do is remove the following. It's doable for the average wrench turner. There is also one E-clip that needs to be removed(No Picture) on the inside of the carb silencer that connects the lean/rich knob. I'll try to post the bolt locations for the powerhead itself. I didn't take pictures before I removed them. I'll take photos after it goes back on. The reprint manual sucks identifying these bolts.
