Added the Teleflex Sportsman tach, speedo and temp guages to my boat. It did not have guages before now. I am thinking of tapping into the circuit that is powered on by the ignition switch in the control box. Only the tach and temp guage need to be on with the ignition. Will tie the guage lights into the navagation circuit.

My control box is the 1980's Johnson Command Control with padded top and internal tach connection.

Is this the right way to make these connections?

That will do it... Of course, the Temp gauge will need a sender and wire from the engine to work..

Rick,

Thanks for the reply. Will be mounting the sending unit right on the head and running a wire up to the dash. Can hardly wait until I have all wires in place so I can tie wrap the main bundle out of sight!

Mark.
