Powerwinch 812 convert to strap?

Picked up a used Powerwinch and the cable is shot.

Looking on the web I see that Powerwinch offers strap kit that is 20' long.

Has anyone changed over to this or retrofitted a longer strap?

Maybe something like this and convert the hook to a latching hook. Kinedyne 323040 Winch Strap 30 ft x 3" 5400 Lb | eBay

Went looking at a few options for straps and realized that 20+ feet of strap won't fit on my winch. At least the ones locally available.

Picked up 50' of 3/16, loaded up the winch and attached the hook. I'm back in business.
