Prayers Are Needed

As you know Spinner and I have been close friends since we joined Iboats many years ago. We have fished together and camped together. Les is in the hospital with cancer. Susi asked me to post and share with you what is going on. His spirits are positive.

JB..If you would pm me and give me your land line i will share with you and keep you updated. Prayers are needed more here than phone calls to Susi. I will be going down to see him on Monday. The tests results will be in and will have more of a prognosis on his condition. I am not a praying man but I am today and i hope you will do so also.

Man I sure hate to hear that. For a little while he would drop by my little website and we would chat 1 on 1. Spinner even though I haven't been a member of this website for all that long you have teached me either by helping me on my own projects and sharing your wisdom, also by being a friend.

Spinner has been a fixture here for years. His humor and gentle manner have been a trademark of iboats, particularly DC.

I haven't seen Spinner on the boards in awhile, and wondered why. I've only been here about a year or so, but always enjoyed his posts and benefitted from his knowledge.

Spinner, Spinnerbaitnut, SBN, Les, Lester......no matter how you say it, he is one in a million. He has been a major contributer to this board for a very long time. He is also a valued member of our Mod Squad.

Les an icon on this board and respected and loved by everyone he meets whether its in person or in cyborspace. For those of you who haven't known him very long, he has a heart of gold. We love him for his sense of humor and his compassion for others, thats why he is so special.

If we all pray and send good thoughts, hopefully we'll be heard. Hang in there buddy, we're all pullin for ya.

last Christmas I was going through some difficult times, (still am but not quite as bad) my son gets a phone call and is told to go to our local wal*mart and pickup some food for Christmas dinner, it was everything you can imagine.. a big ham (cooked) a meat/cheese plate, all the fixins, and I do mean ALL the fixins.. it was the best Christmas dinner I can remember in a long time, but most of all one I'll never forget... Les,.. yep.. Les had called wal*mart ordered up a meal fit for a king and paid for it so my family would have a Christmas dinner..... Now I'm getting choked up writing this... God Speed Les...

You have been in our prayers for quite some time and will continue to be. There are thousands here that have been helped and guided by your input and cheered up by your whit. I am sorry to hear that you are goung through a rough time.

There are a handful of us that have been here a long time and I consider you to be among the Old Guard too. I am with everyone here wishing you a speedy recovery. You are a member of a great family with over 137,953 brothers and sisters.
