Depending on what pin exactly??............. some serious heat may be prescribed.

there is only one preload pin on a merc #1, the one on the top of the drive shaft. use some penatrant, blaster, liquid wrench etc. and tap the pin with a soft mallet. they are pretty tight. use heat if you must. good luck, bill

Are you sure it's stuck? That pin is very hard to press.

It is a very hard thing to push down.So it might not need freeing at all. Be VERY carefull with heat!!!! You can damage the spring.Use WD and let it set over night. Then tap it gently. Jerry

OK, the pentrant loosened it. Is it suposed to pop out of the drivedshaft?
