Re: premium fuel

Not where I live. I think if regular is E10, so are Mid and premium grades, especially at single nozzle pumps because regular and premium is blended at the pump to make mid grade - all E10. There are some exceptions, but the gas cos. are making more money by adding 10% cheap ethanol to the more expensive dino juice.

Unless it says specifically 'no ethanol', it's in there. Look for the label on the pump.

This is precisely what the Casey's stores do in my area.

There is only one gas station close to me that sells ethanol free fuel and the advertise the crap out of that fact since they're close to the lake....they're also the station that went from 3.89/gal to 4.47/gal on premium the friday before Labor Day weekend. Price gouge much?

Probably not but you can ask them or check out the following link.

http://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=KY

It's updated by people who ask stations or believe their signs.. That can be problematic because even they might not know if their own fuel is really ethanol free.

The only way you know for sure is to test the gas yourself.

The kit below is good or you can simply make your own.

I know so. Blended at the pump for single nozzle pumps. Single nozzle stations only have two tanks, regular and premium - No mid grade. Next time you fill up look where the tanker drops. Three tank covers reg,, prem. and vent. One more if they have diesel. Also I know because I signed for a brazillion gallons of fuel during my career and not one drop of mid grade.

If it is a three nozzle station, ask me if you want to know how they make mid grade.

That may be where you live but certainly not everywhere. Around here one nozzle with your choice of all 3 grades. Now what you actually get may be a different story but supposingly it is checked regularly.

Re: premium fuel

If your engine requires the use of premuim and you don't use the boat much this may be a good practice, if these don't apply then it's a waste of money.

Re: premium fuel

I typically use my boat every weekend, but with the drought down here this year, all boat ramps within an hour drive are closed down. So we have only used the boat 3 or 4 times, so I am glad I have been using the Stabil.
