My only question is when is this president going to reinstate the draft? We are going to need a ton of troops, as well as a ton of money, to support the inept foregin policy.<br /><br />Frankly, this is turning out much worse than I thought it would, and I was not too optimistic to begin with re Iraq. I am glad to see he is making an attempt to involve the UN in this, as I see that as the only hope in what appears to me to be an unwinnable operation.<br /><br />It is hard to understand how "Old Europe" is going to be thrilled with sending their troops and their money into this quagmire that they warned about getting into in the first place, but time will tell.<br /><br />But when all of the countries in the MidEast have a vested interest in seeing any sort of "democratic" Iraq fail, or democracy in any form in any country over there, for that matter, and none of them have any interest in supporting developing oil production that will serve to drive down their own prices and revenues, along with all of the various religious sects that hate each other, but are united in their hatred of anything American, it is hard to imagine a possibility of a good outcome to this.<br /><br />I really hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.<br /><br />In order to maintain any semblance of order over there, it is going to take a ton of troops, and a ton of money.
