Re: Presidential address on Irag
Raplh,

I understand those things about China. I also respect them. I spend a good deal of time studying martial arts. Yet at the same time, they have a lot of "research" going on there on how to hack into American computer systems.

I read a CNN news report yesterday, or the day before, about them being the ones buying weapons from Russia. Also, they have upgraded their Nuclear class subs. It went on to say that they have been uping their defense spending by about $17 Bil per year. I think that was the numbers it gave. The weapons they have really been building up are SAM sites. What are those used for? Also, it went on to talk about their longer range missles that are in production.

That doesn't look like a country which is poor. There are also many "pirated" items which comes into the market from China. A few years back there was talk in the news for a bit about the US and China butting heads because of this. It passed from media attention fairly quickly. I see evidence of these things when I go to computer shows. You see the popular game titles going really cheap with no boxing or manuals. Ever wonder where they come from?

All I am saying is that we need to start looking at what is really going on. I personally don't care what they want to be, as long as it's peaceful with the neighbors. However, when someone is building up an arsenal, and configuring defenses according to how I delt with my enemies over the past decade. I have to wonder why.
