pressure tank-changing o-rings

I need to change the o-rings on my pressure tank connector. Is there a way to get the brass fittings out without damaging them?

Yeah, the system seems to be broke. Iboats knows about it and it will get fixed someday, I reckon. In the meantime, right-click on the underlined username, then "open in a new tab", then "contact info". You can send a PM from there.

But I sent you one, so just go from there.

THe PM system does work. You just have to do it manually. No direct link.

Go to the PM system>go to "send PM">type in username manually. As you get close to the username, the system will show you that userID.

I was just looking at this thread, as I think I would like to change mine as well, but I was afraid of wrecking the connector (and replacements are pricey to say the least) Can you let me know how to do this procedure as well? Do you just kinda wedge the o-rings into the holes, after pulling the old ones out with a pick of some sort, or do the little brass connectors somehow come out to allow easier installation.

If you pick 'em out, use brp replacements, as they're small enough to slip in from the front. If you use FR's jig to remove the old ones (and dismantle the connector's brass o-ring keepers), sierras would work fine too. Sierra's will not be slipped in correctly if you picked the old ones out. Just too big/fat. I saw a photo of FR's connector dismantling jig. Brilliant!

I don't recall having any trouble removing and installing those little "O" rings with a crochet needle. I am sure I used OMC parts. That was many years ago.
