Re: Pressure Treated or Not??

Might not be a bad product for its intended use, but this is what their website says.

"AdvanTech panels should not be used in applications that will permanently expose the panels to the weather nor where moisture will be at elevated levels for extended periods of time. As a panel classified as Exposure 1 under PS-2, AdvanTech panels are not approved or certified for exterior exposure."

Re: Pressure Treated or Not??

Thank you for inquiring about AdvanTech subflooring and sheathing. AdvanTech is not warranted for marine applications. AdvanTech carries an Exposure 1 bond classification, which means it can withstand weathering during construction, but is intended to be used in a controlled moisture environment. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

No way! Work way too much with both, simply not true.

Please explain what you see.

I will say that what you see FL may be very different than what I see in WA due to the type of wood available. Here its all fir and about the same quality as CDX, but at times I see good (better) and bad (very bad) of both PT and CDX at the big box stores, that's why I recommend checking the ply very closely no matter what type it is.

Again, I'm not saying these are the best products to use.
