Prime bulb question

Last weekend i went out on the Pontoon boat which has a 75 HP Force motor, but when i pumped the bulb it never seemed to get hard or firm but after pumping serval times i went ahead and it cranked okay, is the bulb going bad or do i have other problems?

Usually an indication the float valve in the carb may be leaking.Could be a bad primer bulb too.You might also check the fuel lines under the cover for leaks.Not likely
but worth a look.

The check valve in the bulb may be shot, or the float valve in the carb.
