primer before paint on floor

sorry if this is a dumb question. i just finished replacing the stringers and deck on a boat i just purchased. do i need to put a coat of primer on the floor before i paint it with non skid paint? thanks for any help

No. Rough the surface, clean with acetone, and apply directly. I had multiple seasons on my no-skid, it never came up.
