Tailgunner

That is what it's supposed to do. Once the bulb is firm, you are ready to start the motor using the Choke(Primer) and a little throttle with the fast idle lever. What's going on with it?
Tailgunner is this happening before you have supplied the engine with fuel?

ie you go out in the morning and the buld is already hard?

If so...you may not have a good enough seal on the connectors...or your bulb is faulty.

TMD
Yeah, the bulb is hard before I do anything. I mean rock hard not just firm. Brandy new bulb.

I'm still grasping at straws trying to diagnose that problem.
