Primer Lever Valve Cap??Johnson 40 hp 1990

At some good suggestions here, I have bought a can of DeCarbonizer or OMC Engine Tuner before tearing down my 40 HP with no compression. I cannot figure out where the Primer Lever Valve cap is located to screw the hose on to inject the "engine tuner". This is a last ditch effort before tearing it down. Can someone tell me where the connector or Primer Lever Valve cap is? The service manual does not mention it. <br />Thanks.

The primer solenoid is located on the starboard side of the block, aft of the carburetors and probably has the link rod from the throttle arm to the cam partially hiding it. Look for the red lever. If you 1990 motor doesn't have the maintenance valve on it, you can puchase one thru your local dealer, they're about $5.00 and make fogging the motor or running engine tuner thru it much easier to do.<br /><br />-John
