Re: Printer problem

SBN, There is a small chance I may be able to help. I run an authorized Epson service center. We don't do much Epson work except for their high volume dot matrix printers, but I will give whatever help I can. Too bad it's not an old HP laserJet. I can literally fix those with my eyes closed. You can either post here or send to my email address if you still have it.

The other option is Epson's email support. It looks like the model you mentioned is an inkjet printer. We have to send these in for repair. Their email tech support may be you best bet. They will get back to you in less than 2 days. Here is a link to their site. Choose your model, then there is a link to enter a email support form.
The standard link did not work so you will have to copy and past the following

http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportProductCategory.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1855709231.1044168445@@@@&BV_EngineID=fadcgflmhdgkbfdmcfjgckidnk.0&oid=-10222&infoType= Trouble

Thanks scoop. but it was the ink cartridges that was the culprit. Old or something.

Re: Printer problem

I wish I had done something to help. Those print catridges can be a pain. If you don't print for a while, the ink can dry out in the jets and then even running the cleaning cycle will not help. They also have a shelf life. If you look on the bottom of the cartridge box, there will be a "Use Before" date. Even though they are sealed, the ink can start to dry out. I am glad it is back up and running.

I have a Epson Photo 820. It is only made to run so many pages through before it needs to be recycled and new one bought. The printer costs $99. It sure has come in handy for my Son's school projects.
