Pro Kon Troll steering handle

Just bought one for the boat. Looks like a good product and easy to use. I wont find out till Monday if the weather holds up. Does anyone here have one? How do you like it? I will let everyone know how it works at that time.<br /><br />

I have something similar on my flats boat's TM, along with a foot switch for power.... <br /><br />The long handle works good, especially if you like to stand up while you're fishing... It does (for me anyway) get in the way sometimes..

Snapperbait,<br />Thanks for the reply. You mentioned the foot controlled power switch, that sounds interesting. Can you show me what you are taling about? Do those work with any TM? Sounds like something I need for Christmas.

The guy in the picture has his foot on the power switch... Bigfoot switch, thats the one! It's just an on/off switch... Hold the button down and the motor's on at whatever speed you have the motor set on.. <br /><br /> It's great for making those little course corrections.. That way you don't have to monkey around with the tiller handle for turning the motor on and off...<br /><br />The switch is usually wired in the circut from the battery to the trolling motor... Just tap into the positive wire... Works with any motor...<br /><br />Oh yeah... You definately need one for Xmas!

Tex, I have been running the pro control handle for about 3 years now.IMO this is the best thing since the trolling motor.I also sell them in our shop and a lot of guys have switched over to hand control after they see it and play with it.You will not be sorry you got it.The toe switch is a must,as a matter of fact a lot of guys put 2 switches on, one on each side of the boat.
