Re: Pro Tree Cutters

I have been involved in felling enough trees in my 60 years to know that when it comes to dropping a big one, there are no guarantees. I have seen trees twist 180 degrees on the hinge and fall exactly the opposite way. I have seen trees split when you start cutting the hinge, and I have seen trees change direction part way down.

Unless you want to take out liability insurance and risk your financial neck, hire a pro who is insured and equipped for the job.

If you haven't guessed yet I'm crazy it will be done....with the help of loggong chains a winch .come along .wedge, jack and hopefully a sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssouth west wind getting up this weekend I'LL take some shots of the task...before it's done...have to practice some more on about 12 more trees I aim for the pile of limbs, stumps but the leaner wont be going that way...below might be the jack method if it works or attachment nope to big a file

With all due respect, if you don't understand the difference between a shock line and a chain, you're in over your head.

Hey jay it's way over my head ....at least 80 feet...until it's on the ground ...did alot of feling 25 years ago and got quite good at it...thats why I have been sharpening the old nerves...I;m taking shots tomorrow and will post maybe Monday...I do have about 12 to do before the leaner...I even pondered driveing the tree with another....but that would be real risky chow 4 now
