Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and am loving all of info available here. I have 2003 mercury 40HP 2 stroke that I bought used a couple of months ago. It starts up no problem at the house on muffs, if its been stored in the vertical position. But If I trim it up for travel, when I get to the lake I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to start. Do you have any ideas what's going on here? Let me know if you need any other info. Thanks!

I had the same problem with my 115 and the mechanic told me to pull the fuel line while it running to drain the fuel out of the bowls because when the motor is tilted the floats get stuck or something. Your floats may need to be readjusted. Not sure how much truth there is to this, but thats what i was told.
