Re: Project Boat-COMPLETE and SOLD!!!!

Nathan,

The first SIX pic's are before. It was a complete wreck. It had set out in the Arizona sun uncovered for over ten years.

The interior was completely gutted, down to the crossmembers. New floor boards, decks, seats, console, wiring, carpet, AND REPLACED THE TRANSOM.

I shortened the rear deck by 6".

Rebuilt/replumbed/rearranged the two onboard livewells.

The exterior was completely refinished. New paint(yellow to white), striping, etc.

The engine was completely refinished-paint/decals. Rebuilt carbs, new water pump, new thermostats, plugs, various hoses, etc.

It now features:

New OMC guages.
Front and rear livewells-areated.
Minn Kota 24V-48# "resurected" foot control trolling motor.

Depth finder.
Bow and stern trim/tilt switches.
New seats-4.
New seat pedestals.
New steering system and wheel.
New engine control cables.
New ignition switch-no key for old one.
Enough Stainless Steel bolts, screws and nuts to keep ACE hardware in business for a long time.

The only thing I kept was the aluminum hull and some various hardware, hinges, etc.

Best of all, it's paid for.

snapperbait,

She's a few inches over 16'. Rated max. for a 90.

As best I can tell, the unit was designated by Sea Nymph as a "FS-160".

Beautiful Job, great looking boat.
Don't deal it, use it. That way you can sit back and enjoy it while fishing from it.
That is the perfect size to store in the garage for winter instead of the cost of shrink wrapping NOT that you want to think about that this time of year - please forgive that digression - I am still waiting for my front lawn to turn from white to green.

Mike

Hey crabby,

Thanks.

I've got 14 months into it. Usually only one day per week. I spent alot of time other than that scrounging for parts, don't wanna pay too much you know. :D

As for a total $$ amount into it, well let's just say, I'll do OK. ;)

What would you guys pay for it??

I'm not even going to price it until I know it's PERFECT.

JHOLE,

That's Arizona you're looking at.

I've got a 400 sq. ft. patch of grass in the backyard and if I had my way, I'd get rid of that! :D

What year is the boat? What year is the motor? I hop that my project turns out as good as yours did.

Nice job Djohns. Attention to detail is evident. You have got some talent my friend. If it were me I would want to keep it.

miloman,

No, I just resurected the livewells that were in there. I did put them in slightly different locations though. One in the bow and one (larger) in starboard stern.

The livewells are aluminum.
