Hello + <br />Maybe I misunderstood,so here goes.<br />If you only have a gasport and no double hose connector than you most likely (99%)have a fuel pump on the engine. <br />When you look at the gasport,you will see either a two pronged or a three pronged inlet.The three pronged inlet means that you will need a pressure tank.If you cannot find any prongs,then just check on the sides of the engine to see if there is only a fuel bowl in the fuel line,or if there is an actual fuel pump sitting on one side of your engine.There are a lot of '58s where the pressure tank system has been replaced in favor of a pump.<br />If you decide that you need a pressure tank you may want to check out: "Johnson outboard" on e-bay because these systems can be quite expensive.
