Great job all duck'd up. I love the stencils. They're downright artistic and the motor cover is genius. You may want to get a stick of some Marine epoxy. It's very easy to use, and works great. You could use good 'ol JB weld to plug the hole too, but it can sometimes be a little runny. For future reference here's a home made, PVC bilge pump I made for about $2 :) Next time you need one give it a try. The stick is just an old piece of skinny bamboo, and the "piston" is just a piece of plastic I cut out of an old dust pan and a couple flaps of a rubber hose. It's completely collapse-able for easy storage and pumps tons of water. You can even paint it camo if you want. Glad you, the dog, and the truck-boat-truck are ok after the wreck too.

thanks for the pic's and idea but i bought a 600 gal-a-hour pump the other day and just flipping a switch is pretty cool haha
im planning on using it as a fish aerator also

i bet you could make one heck of a watergun out of that thing if it didnt pump out the top

Re: project: camo the duracraft

alright fellas the new 4 letter work for the day is SOLD!!!!!! that's right; i was working on the boat last week, in the yard and a younger fella offered me a amount i couldn't refuse considering i only had $600 in the boat it was time to part with it. hehehe :D SO! i bet your are asking yourself why would you do that with duck season less than a month away... no worries being the craigslist addict that i am, i knew just what i wanted MORE ROOM! so i made a few calls and haggled my way into a NEWER project.

would you like to see it??? well you cant! JK

here is the new to me 16 foot alumacraft

the old 40 merc that's is a steering wheel version (not what i want) so i listed it and had a call in the first hour. the motor that i chose is a 50 hp yamaha that was converted into a tiller handle that i found for a really good price

here are the pics of the yamaha it came with a new stainless prop, jack plate, and the trailering stick.
