Thank you for the congratulations & kind words SoLittle!
I hadn' noticed I had finally passed 5000. Looks like you're a couple away from a well deserved promotion as well. :)

Re: Promotion for Paul Moir

Thank you all so much for the congratulations! I've learned from every single person who has responded to this thread, and I'm happy to have been of some service in return. I suspect we're all alike and read easily 10 times more posts than we responded to.

rolmops: if possible, aim for late July or August. Our early summers are unpredictable while it seems like August guarantees good weather. But nothing's written in stone. Best Solomon Gundy (next to home-made) is Comeau's, but I've never had rolmops to compare. ;)

Congratulations to both of you. Your help has been most appreciated and needed here. With your promotions, how 'bout buying a round of drinks with the increased income.

I am posting my number 5000 with this in salute to Paul. As for me I know I have learned far more than I have contributed. It has been, and continues to be, fun.

40 years ago I would have led the way to our favorite watering hole to celebrate. For now it is milk, cookies and lots of naps.

Congratulations, Paul,

Being about 1/2 of your present post number, I'll probably hit the big 5000 about the time you hit the 10,000 number.

Keep up the good work.
