Thanks again for the help and exainations. And I have been in the other forums working on the ignition problems I believe I hav e too. There is some damage on this prop which could be adding to the slip factor but don't think there is that much done. I also found a local marina willing to let me try a prop or two to see if they make a difference and in different pitches. But first I am finishing up figuring out the electrical end of things

before changing props what about if someone switch my cobra outdrive with one with a different gear set, that could be causing things to be way off too? i have the engine running like it should and still only does 3800 rpm with the 14.5 X 19p aluminum prop and only getting 27 to 28 mph. if they used the one from the 5.0l engine the ratio if i not mistaken could be making this engine lug pretty good i would think
