Prop. grease?

Is there a special grease I need to put on prop shaft before placing the hub on? Will normal high temp grease work?

I just love Yamaha blue marine grease...use it for everything...!

I use the merc lube on everything that needs to move. But like someone on this forum always Said (Any Grease is Better,..... Than No Grease at All.......

OMC triple guard grease or mercury 2-4-C. i love the blue omc stuff, it really lasts

I just love Yamaha blue marine grease...use it for everything...!

Yep,that and the blue Triple Guard.
Run all season and pull the prop off and it's still nice and blue...

I don't think there is a "special" grease to use... just something water-proof.

THanks guys I will find some waterproof stuff.
What kind of grease should i use on the end of the steering cable (motor side)
same stuff?

Silicone grease will not wash off and does not mix with water, its what I use on everything marine.
