I have a 1995 Four Winns 258 Vista with a 5.8 liter Ford with a OMC Cobra outdrive. I "stuck" the boat and beat up my aluminum prop real bad trying to get "unstuck." I was using this prop for just in case this type of thing happened. I purchased the boat last year and it came with the "original" stainless steel prop. I put this prop on and after replacing the nut and pin I have about a half of an inch of play in the prop. What I mean is that I can pull on the prop and it moves "out and in." Is this OK and normal or do I have the wrong prop on the outdrive. I have the nut as tight as it will go. It just doesn't go all the way down to the point of touching the prop. Does anyone have the WOT numbers for this boat and engine package? I seem to be running way more RPM per MPH than I should.

Second question: The boat was purchased last year with 280 hours on it. Boat ran like a champ and I put 35 hours on it last summer. Had a marina change the oil over the winter and now I have a definite "clicking" sound coming from the engine. It appears that it is coming from a belt or one of the devices connected to the belt. The clicking is always occuring, but not on a fixed schedule. It clicks randomly, but never with gaps more than a second. More like kkk k kkkkk kk - just random type of thing. I have also noticed that the oil pressure gauge will bounce occasionally. I can't tell if the bounce is in time with the clicking or not. Could this be the start of an oil pump going bad?

FYI - the boat has had an electrical ghost. I lost all power to the dash. House functions still worked. Took it to the marina. They changed the starter selinoid. I launced boat, boat started, off I went. Killed enginge in slip. Tried to restart the next day - no power to the dash. I then put on another selenoid. No power. Disconnect the wires to the iginition switch, touched together, boat started. Ok, so now it is in the switch, right? Replaced switch, boat started. Came back next week, no power to the dash. GEEEZZZ. Finally, I disconnect a large (tennis ball size) connection near the computer and EFI. Inside are about ten male post. Zero corrosion on male or female. Reconnect and have power to dash and boat starts. All is well at this point. Question: what is that large wiring harness/connection called?

I have had great results with this site and really appreciate everyone's help. Thanks in advance for any responses.
