Or slip % is stated wrong. <br /><br />Use calculators only for a WAG ball park number. The only way to know what works best is by testing props or talking to someone who did a rig like yours. Your local experienced prop man will be more accurate than any calculator.

stillfishing, no need for me to add or correct anything...your statement is perfect.<br />I agree completely...cup is a tactic used to increase efficiency, and there is no "set" standard for how or where....you described it perfectly...<br />I should add that "where" it is placed and how much, dictates how much "Lift" is created, and that can be stearn-lift or bow-lift, depending on the Rake (angle) of the blade.<br />BillP hit'er on the head with testing as well...there is no better way to find out.

Walleyehed..Does Mercury still have that program where you can borrow props to dial in your rig?
